- ONSS — employment bonus, September 2026 rules

The 7% municipal rate is an average. The special contribution is an annualised estimate; the final amount depends on family circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Is the work bonus included?
Yes. The model uses both components of the ONSS social work bonus for employees, with the thresholds and amounts effective 1 September 2026, plus an estimate of the fiscal work bonus.
Is the special social security contribution exact?
It is estimated from annual income after employee contributions. The final amount depends on family net taxable income and is reconciled through the tax return, so the displayed amount is not an official assessment.
What does the one-income spouse option do?
It approximates the marital quotient: up to 30% of taxable professional income, subject to the modelled annual ceiling, is attributed to the spouse without income.
Why is the municipal rate 7%?
The calculator uses a 7% average municipal surcharge for a national estimate. The actual rate varies by municipality.
Is this an official payslip?
No. Actual ONSS rates, worker status, dependants, part-time work and other reductions can change the result.
